Section Marketplace is a Shopify app that allows merchants to browse and purchase custom-built Shopify sections compatible with all themes. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and store information from Shopify merchants who use our app.

a. Information We Collect Automatically

  • IP Address – collected at the time of purchase for logging purposes.

b. Information We Collect via Shopify API

  • Shop Domain
  • Theme Name
  • Purchase History

We do not collect:

  • Customer data
  • Store products or orders
  • Theme files
  • Names or emails of customers

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To enable merchants to access previously purchased sections
  • To improve user experience and diagnose technical issues
  • To monitor usage patterns (via Google Analytics)

We do not use your data for advertising, direct marketing, or selling to third parties.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This may involve tracking page views, events, and in-app behaviors. If you are required by law (e.g., GDPR), you are responsible for enabling cookie consent on your site.

5. Data Storage and Retention

All data is securely stored in Australian servers. Purchase data is retained indefinitely to allow merchants to re-download their purchased sections. If you wish to delete your data, email us and we will permanently remove all associated records. This deletion is irreversible.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties, except:
  • Google Analytics
  • When required by law (e.g., court order)

7. Your Rights

You may:
  • Request access to your shop’s data
  • Request permanent deletion of your shop’s data

8. Children’s Privacy

Our app is intended for adults (Shopify store owners) and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Legal Compliance

  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA – US)

10. Changes to This Policy
