What is Section Marketplace?
Section Marketplace is a Shopify app that allows you to purchase individual, high-quality Shopify sections that can be added to any theme. No need to buy an entire theme, just grab the section you need to enhance your storefront.
Do I own the section after purchase?
Yes. Once you purchase a section, it’s yours forever. It is licensed to your Shopify store and can be used as long as the store is active.
Can I use the same section on multiple stores?
No. Each purchase is linked to a single Shopify store. If you manage multiple stores, you’ll need to purchase the section separately for each store.
How do I install a section after purchase?
After purchasing a section, you’ll be guided through the installation process. Once installed, the section will appear in your Shopify theme editor under "Add section", and can also be customized further using "Edit code".
Can I edit the section’s code?
Yes. Once the section is added to your theme, you can go to Online Store → Themes → Edit Code and modify the section’s Liquid, CSS, or JavaScript as needed.
Are the sections compatible with all Shopify themes?
Most sections are designed to work with Online Store 2.0 themes. Compatibility with legacy themes or heavily customized themes may vary. We recommend testing on a duplicate theme or reaching out to support if unsure.
Will the section work after I update my theme?
Generally yes. However, if your new theme structure is significantly different, you may need to re-add or adjust the section. We suggest backing up your sections before theme updates.
Do you offer refunds?
As sections are digital products with immediate delivery, we do not offer refunds unless there is a technical issue that cannot be resolved. Feel free to contact us for support before purchasing if you’re unsure.
Can I request a custom section?
We don’t currently offer custom section design through the app, but you can contact our team if you have a specific need, we may be able to recommend or build a section for you separately.
How are updates to sections handled?
If we update or improve a section you’ve already purchased, you’ll be notified in the app. You’ll have the option to download and re-install the latest version.
Do you collect any store or customer data?
We only store minimal data, such as your store ID and your purchased section history, to ensure access and updates. We don’t collect customer data, product info, or modify your existing theme files.
